Future Oceans Dirge

THE INTERNET™ ::: i-0002

"Future Oceans Dirge" was an audio/visual piece curated and designed by Alan Karlik, consisting of a video, sound-sensitive LED light speakers, sea shells, white sand and a poster manifesto sealed in a DryCase waterproof case. By blurring the lines between reality and science fiction, the piece focused on the inevitable impact of the climate change, giving the viewer a glimpse of the world in which humanity was forced to live in underwater colonies. It was shown during the Making Progress show at London College of Communication (Monday 28 April – Thursday 1 May, 2014).
